Dharmadam Island

Dharmadam Island (Green Island) is a small 2 hectare private island in the Kannur District of Kerala, southern India. It lies 100 metres from the mainland at Dharmadam.
It was earlier called Dharmapattanam. Buddhism was practiced here years ago and the name Dharmapattanam was coined from such association.
One of the most fascinating beaches in Kerala, Dharmadam Island is nestled amidst lush green coconut trees and sandy beaches. The Dharmadam Island is an ideal picnic spot. Permission is required to enter this privately owned island.
A Sprawling Rock that Protrudes into the Sea is the main attracton here.
