Devikulam
'The pond or lake of the Devi' alias Devikulam is known so for the
reason that Devi Sita, wife of Lord Rama, once had a bath in a pond nearby and hence this place
is named after the incident. About 1800 meters above the sea level and 16 kms southwest of
Munnar, Devikulam is a small and beautiful hill station in Kerala.
The Sita Devi Lake with its mineral waters and surroundings, offers an ideal picnic spot and a
popular tourist hangout.
Mother Nature has been generous to this scintillating hill station in South India. Not far away
from the lake is the spectacular Pallivasal Waterfalls that is frequented by the picnickers for
the sheer manifestation of nature in its various ways. Irresistible green slopes touching the
skies and hushed clusters of willowy red and blue gum trees makes this hill station a must see
destination in the Fascinating Kerala Hill Stations Tours.
The climate of Devikulam is mild throughout the year. So you can take a tour anytime.
