Cherai Beach is a beach in the Cherai village of Ernakulam district
of Kerala, south India. Cherai is a part of Vypin Island.
The 15 km of long beach is very clean, shallow, calm and is ideal for swimming & sunbathing.
The newly beautified 400 Meters of the main beach has a walkway and High mask lamps which make
the beach enjoyable even at night.Security personnel are on duty 24X7 to lend visitors a helping
hand. There is a Children’s Park on Cherai Beach ensuring the kids are entertained as well. You
could also hire Water Scooters and Speed Boats and go for a spin in the sea.
Best season to visit is all throughout the year barring the rainy season(june - october). One of
the main events in this beach is the tourism fest during December.Tourists can find beach resorts
and cottages nearby the beach.
